Horse Play Days at Fina Vista Farm

Are you looking for an authentic ranch adventure where you can discover the joy of connecting with horses?

Have you ever wanted to spend the day talking to horses, listening to horses, working with and riding horses? This one-of-a-kind experience allows you to get up close and personal with our beautiful, smooth-riding, naturally gaited horses. Hosted by Fina Vista Farm, home of the only Paso Fino Horse herd in Canada offering riding experiences. Come meet our magical horses, learn their language, find your connection, develop basic handling and riding skills, make an equine partnership and finish the day with a trail ride in a beautiful forest in the stunning Oak Hills. The Experience runs from 9:30am - 4pm, with lunch included. Group size for this experience is a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 8.
NOTE: We can also do PlayDays for experienced riders upon request. Activities include Trail Ride, Ring Games, Obstacle Course Challenge, and more with Lunch/Social break. Contact us for possible dates.

Please note: Participants must be at least 10 years old and under 200 lbs. Pricing is determined by number of participants. Book with a friend or a group for better pricing.

What to expect...
Your day will begin upstairs in our awesome historic barn, (built in 1906), where we will make introductions of our hosts and guests.
Guests will then begin an action-packed day that includes:
* Discovering the basics of Horse Language:  How do we communicate with them?
* Invitation to make a Connection and choose your horse for the day:  Which horse speaks to you?
*  Horse Grooming 101:  Time to get hands on!
* The Game's Afoot:  Playing with horses in the ring. Using Obstacles to learn to maneuver your horse.
* Lunch Break: A locally sourced home-made lunch will be provided and a chance to swap notes with the group.
* Play Catch and Dress-Up:  Learn to catch your horse and tack them to ride.
* Class is in Session:  Time to get on your horse and head back to the ring for a riding lesson.
* Happy Trails!  Guests will get a guided trail ride through the beautiful forests, hills and valleys of the stunning Oak Hills, which are the home of Fina Vista Farm.
* That's a Wrap. The whole group will gather upstairs in the barn for some follow-up discussion, questions, observations.
